Over the last 25 years. I have been blessed to have some wonderful opportunities and experiences traveling this planet, for both pleasure and business.
I decided to make a few changes to my "black and white "section of OnlyOneRoad.Com website; to exhibit the photos I have taken over the years as I traveled here in North America and throughout the world. .

North America is so diversified and rich in culture, and in particular the Northwest region. Its heritage is steeped in rich sights, sounds, people and events. The last several years, the Northwest has become my passion for my black and white images .
In the mid to late 1980s to the early 2000s I was shooting with film. Using a Pentax K1000's an extraordinary camera, despite its very ordinary design. The K1000's inexpensive simplicity was a great value to me. This rugged camera was at my side throughout my travels here and abroad.
In 2006 I purchased my first Canon Rebel DSLR. Today I use a Canon 7d. With the new technology in hardware and software we have today, photographers like myself have the ability to be more creative then we were 15 to 20 years ago. Today with black and white and sepia software many photographers continue to produce images that resembles from earlier work from generations.
Depending on the subject matter, I find one of the key elements for black and white images is contrast. I shoot my pictures in color and by using specific black and white software; I change my color into monochrome. I try to create my black and white photos as the soul of people in the present time along with the unique narrator character of my landscape photography.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I did taking them. For me it has become a labor of love.
